This year's study looked at 1,267 S&P Super 1,500 companies that held annual meetings between Jan. 1 and July 31, 2004.

Companies included in the study had fiscal year-ends between April 1, 2004 and March 31, 2005, and filed their proxy statement forms with the SEC on or before July 31, 2005.
